ARP-150 is a CD4+, CD8+, and MHC Class I+ cell line isolated from a patient with T cell lymphoma, and can be used to replicate various human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) isolates.
Growth Characteristics: ARP-150 is slow-growing thymocyte-like cell line that forms clusters and clumps. Cultures should be passaged 1:10 every 4 to 5 days at 1 × 104 and 1 × 105 per mL. Doubling time is approximately 24 to 36 hours.
Growth Medium: DMEM or RPMI 1640 medium supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum
ARP-150 is negative for bacteria, Mycoplasma, yeast and mold.
Each vial of ARP-150 contains approximately 10 × 105 cells in RPMI 1640 supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum and 10% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). Please refer to the appropriate data sheet for lot-specific information.
